Next, the waterway and the deck were installed.

Master Korabel planned the waterway a bit differently, bevelled and not flat, but unfortunately it got lost in the mix of rather suboptimal translations and "unfortunate" picture instructions. Probably would have been easier to adjust. But I am not the only one :-D

I'm also not very happy with the design of the deck itself. Here the laser was used completely instead of just "hinting" at the planks, so the small bars are difficult to remove (more tests to follow).

At the moment I can live with it. Basically it looks quite good :-)

The deck was oiled with "Danish Oil".

I proceed with the final outer planking. All planks came precut in this kit and the first strake needed to be installed was the bulwark.

Then I did the first layer of the whale.

Working on the second layer. I prefer to oil as soon as possible to seal the wood to prevent it from further damages (by glue etc.).

Whale and Scuppers are done. Outboard Scuppers will get their "lead" later.

Unfortunately the whale has no planking and nails laser engraved. Might do this later after some tests.

The sandwich construction of Master Korabel works very well in itself, but I built the keel from solid pear wood because the funier was too grainy.
