The third deck were a challenge and took a while. The height jig does not work also the real height was not really clear. I tried to follow the Hahn plans here, ignoring the marks on the frames, but it took a while.

Every beam needs to be adjusted for height and the frame. That took a while and when mixup a frame it could result in some woodwork to get the beam longer again :-)

But after some days I think the result is ok. Next will bee the knees.

And a small update.

Knees are done. I'm also always trying to find out how far I can realize things on such a small scale. So I also tried to show a few ledges. A bit of fiddling but it works. But I won't do the whole deck with it. It is also important here that it only works - in my opinion - if there are clean right angles, if there are clean equal distances and if it can be built cleanly parallel :-)

Will this be half-planked? Going well so far.

Not sure about the planking yet. It will be partial and not so much as the kit suggests (both sides down to the whale) ...

I did the two gunports with their sills on starboard. Absolutely not my favourite task filing these squares ... not my best work though. Let's see how the port turns out. The better side will the not be planked side then :-D

Ok, some stuff happend :-) Gunports done, more ledges, transom, a kind of waterway on port side. Preparing changes and going freestyle in a lot of areas and trying to add stuff for more details.

Ahh and finally my typical case is done :-)

Upper deck done. I recognized too late that it is a bit to high on port side ... damn ...

However, it must also be said that the kit makes a lot of mess in this area. If you were to build it exactly to specification, the upper deck would end up in the windows. I have to improvise a lot and try to conceal it. It doesn't have that much to do with the Druid in this area :-D

Next will be the wales.

I found some leftover ebony and used it to build the wales. The kit called for doubled strips in an ugly brown, but I didn't want that after all. The gaps are not perfect, ebony is quite tricky to bend but I think it fits ok.

I might put a few more planks on one side under the wale, but I still have to see how exactly :-)

I am not happy with the "decorations" on the transom, ugly wood, the lines are noch good. I have to check if there's a better solution.
