This is something very difficult to find information about: The Binnacle. There is one paper from the "Society for Nautical research" saying there is only ONE Model showing a cutter with a binnacle also surely all (?) had one.

Anyway the following is my interpretation as I like to show one on board.













I will do finalization tomorrow when the paint dried :-)

As on starboard there is no anchor rope the hawse hole needs to be closed. I don't know if this is exactly right but it tells the story.

One of the last parts to do is the buoy. Started with a simple variant ended with layered pear wood. Guess that is the way to go :-)

I have to admit I'm getting a little tired of all the little things to do.

Today I secured the binnacle.



I then turned the ships bell.







Reworked the buoy.



And did some preparations ....

I was not quite so happy with my decision not to show mast hoops, it seems somehow "naked". I had made a few attempts but nothing came out that I liked and was installable with the rigging already done.. A member here in the forum, @Gregory, spent his time and effort and offered to laser me mast hoops from pear and sent them to me. Free of charge, no shipping, nothing ... wow!

This is how it can be among model building colleagues. Thanks again and again Gregoy!
